Olivia Yau

Olivia is a 3rd-year medical student at UBC, previously completing an MSc in Experimental Medicine at Queen's University on the optimization of vascular ultrasound imaging for atherosclerosis. She has worked in developing novel echocardiography contrast methods for atherosclerosis therapy in her graduate career and is currently involved in research regarding the application of AI software in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) imaging in COVID-19 patients and heart failure patients. She is currently interested in pursuing family medicine and hopes to incorporate the use of POCUS in her future practice.
